Centennial Celebration
Events
Centennial Kick-off Service & Picnic
June 19, 2011, 11:15 a.m. — St.
John’s
We’ll kick-off our centennial celebration
at our annual picnic. For the celebration, we welcome our former Rector,
The Reverend Robert Shank, as he participates in our worship service and
joins us afterward for the picnic. Hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks will be
provided—bring a dish to share along with a picnic blanket or chairs.
We’ll play early twentieth-century games and our youth will create a time
capsule—come enjoy fellowship and fun as we kick-off our centennial
celebrations! RSVP NO LATER THAN June 10, 2011.

St. John’s Historical Tour
and Barbeque
September 18, 2011, 12:15
p.m. — St. John’s
Join us for a two-mile journey through
history as we visit the locations of our previous churches. Speed through
time with a fun run, or stroll through history at a more leisurely pace of
walking (strollers and wagons welcome too!). We’ll begin at St. John’s
with a barbeque and then visit the locations of our prior downtown
Plymouth locations. Tickets: $10.00 for adults; $5:00 for children age
5-12; maximum of $30.00 for a family. RSVP NO

Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner & Hymn Sing
November 19, 2011, 5:30 p.m. (Dinner); 7:00
p.m. (Hymn Sing) — St. John’s
We’ll celebrate blessings received and
enjoy a potluck dinner featuring recipes from our centennial cookbook.
Bring a dish to share and stay for a traditional hymn sing led by our
Minister of Music, Julie Ford. RSVPs appreciated.
Centennial Gala Dinner and Dance
February 18, 2012, 6:00 p.m. — Summit on
the Park, Canton, MI
Enjoy an adult only gala celebration on the
eve of our centennial. We’ll celebrate together with a buffet dinner,
dancing, and a video presentation of our first one hundred years. Tickets:
$40.00 per person.

Centennial Festival Eucharist
February 19, 2012, 10:00 a.m. — St. John’s
Celebrate our official centennial anniversary.
The Rt. Rev. Wendell N. Gibbs, Jr., Tenth Bishop of Michigan, will join us for a combined service as we give
thanks for our first one hundred years and pray for guidance and blessings
as we continue “Proclaiming the Love of Christ.” After the service, join
us for a celebration reception and enjoy fellowship with the people of St.
John’s.
