Proposed By-Laws ...

Dear People of St. John’s:

Early last year, the vestry discovered that St. John’s Church has been functioning for years without a set of by-laws. There have been various documents that have been used to enable the smooth functioning of the church but no actual by-laws. We have decided to remedy that situation by creating a set of by-laws. This has been an important task of the vestry during the previous year.

Please review the proposed by-laws through the link below. We will have a vote to approve the by-laws at the 2008 Annual Meeting on January 20.

I would like to offer particular thanks to Fred Sigmon, Cindy Wisniewski, and Sharon Byrd who spent many hours drafting the original version of this document.
