ACOLYTES
Young people in grades 6-12 are invited to serve as assistants in the
worship service. Acolytes serve in various capacities in the liturgy, and
assist the clergy at the altar. To learn of dates for upcoming training
classes, contact Mary Alice Brunner.
ALTAR GUILD
The Altar Guild is
responsible for preparing the Altar and
Chancel for worship and celebration of the sacraments. Members of the
Altar Guild are scheduled to serve by month. Members of the parish, both men and
women, are welcome to membership in the Altar Guild. For information, contact
Beth Wideman.
The Altar
Flower Fund is under the supervision of the Altar Guild. If you are
interested in offering the Altar Flowers any given Sunday, you may contact the
Parish Office. The cost of the flowers each Sunday is $50. You may
contribute whatever you wish toward the cost. Reserve flowers by
completing an Altar Flower envelope.
EUCHARIST MINISTERS (EM)
Lay Ministers assist at all services. Lectors read the scriptures;
Intercessors lead the Prayers of the People; and Lay Eucharist Ministers assist
in the administration of the Eucharist. Participation in these ministries
is open to all baptized persons, and training is provided. For more

MUSIC MINISTRY
St. John's has a complete music program involving both singers and
non-singers. There is a vocal choir, a folk ensemble, a childrens' choir, and a handbell
choir.

Parish Choir - open
to anyone in grade 9 or older. Rehearsals are held Thursday evenings
from 7:30-9:00 p.m. in Room 6. For more information, contact our

SonShine Music -
open to all who play instruments or sing folk-style music.
Guitars, percussion, vocalists, and keyboards provide service music, and
often lead music for special occasions. Rehearsals are held
Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. in the Nave. For more information,

Handbell Choir -
open to adults and teens who read music, or are experienced handbell ringers.
Rehearsals are held Thursday evenings at 5:45 p.m. in The Gathering.

Childrens' Choir
- open to children in Kindergarten through Grade 2, under the
direction of June Waldbauer. This choir rehearses every Sunday on which there is Church
School, from 9:50am - 10:10am. This is a great
opportunity for your child to learn how to sing.

Youth Choir -
for children in Grade 3 and older. The choir rehearses every Wednesday from 6:30 - 7:15 p.m.

USHERS
The Ushers Guild consists of men and women of the Parish who serve as
ushers at the Sunday services. If you wish to participate in this service
